Subject: Hunter 707 Newsletter - Christmas
2004
Hi
All,
Another season is
over, I hope you all enjoyed your Hunter 707 sailing. Some of us did more
than others.
Scottish
Championships 2005 - Did you get a new diary for Christmas? Now
is the time to put in the date of the 11th/12th June 2005. The 707
Scottish will be hosted by Royal Forth YC at Granton as part of their one design
weekend. This is was chosen as being likely to attract a good selection of
the Scottish boats, but being on different water than we usually
sail.
Although they are
most welcome, it is a long way for the South Coast boats to come up but
there are some who would like to sail. If you are not planning to do the
event or are short of crew then there are crews who would like to fill those
places. In discussions with Tom Davison, he said potential crew could
bring their own sails, so wear and tear (or not having the latest set) should
not be an issue.
Winter
Reading - This being an Olympic Year means the ISAF publish a new set
of racing rules. The new rules are published on the ISAF web site, and the
books will no doubt be appearing in the shops soon. Mike Harrison
explained some of the changes in the last club newsletter (still available from
the website, when I wrote this!).
As always feel free
to circulate this around you crew. Wishing you a Happy
Christmas.
Phil.
