At long last I now have an official response to the exemption request for the 707. My original request had listed all the differences between the class regulations and the FYCA requirements. The high level summary is that we can take place in regattas on the Forth and in Fig races provided they don't go East of the Fairway Buoy. But you will need to include some additional safety items. The list is very short if you only plan to do regattas. The attached letter shows the FYCA response; read in conjunction with the safety regulations.

Note that racing at Port Edgar is now governed by these safety regulations and by signing the entry form you agree to race to these regulations.
