I have developed software for various companies and organizations. This includes developments in languages such as C/C++, Pascal, Perl, Tcl, BCPL, and various assemblers. The projects include a real time operating system to various communication protocols. Some of my latest work has been done in Microsoft Visual C/C++. Copy Clone Application This application was developed to automate the copying of files from one location to another. Over the last few years it has been extended to include data compression and mirroring of disc structures. The key feature is to make it simple to use. To this aim the user sets up a profile of the files that are to be copied and then that copy can be repeated again and again. Different profiles can be set for different uses. The application can also be run from the command line, making it possible to incorporate into other scripts, or trigger a copy automatically.Want to try it? Download a copy from here. Quick Chart Library Eastmore has developed a Chart Drawing Library. Your application supplies the numeric data and the DLL will draw the library. A wide range of different graph types are available and the application has full control over the colours and labels shown on the chart. The following pictures are taken direct from the Quick Chart Library; using the built in facility to save the image to a portable network graphic (PNG) file. There are too many different formats of graph to be show here. The user is given flexibility over the colors used, the size of the image, the text displayed. Of course the user must supply the data to be displayed. Sailing Results Software Also available is a suit of software programs for calculating sailing results. These programs are currently used by a number of Sailing Clubs within Scotland. The sailing results on this Web site are generated on the fly from a database file containing all the results. Configuration parameters allow the pages to be given the same look and feel as the rest of the club's web site. Interested?
