The Gavin Adamson Trophy won for being the first Dalgety Bay boat in the race that bears his name.

The inscription reads "Gavin was the inspiration to many who took part in the traveller's events. During his last months he spent many hours transforming part of Extension's rudder into this trophy which will remind us of an intrepid sailor - Gavin".
I had the pleasure of sailing his E-boat Extension, including helming with the rudder that is now part of the trophy.

 

Lifting out at the end of the 2003 season. It may look sunny but in fact it was a cold day and there is a thick layer of frost on the deck.   Lifting Out
